There are many steps you can take to prevent SPAM or unwanted incoming calls. Consider the following suggestions.
Block numbers as they come in
When you receive a call from a phone number, that you have identified as SPAM, hang up and block that number. The steps for some Android phones may differ from the instructions we offer in this article.
Step 1: Tap on your phone’s dialer application
Step 2: Tap on Recent Call History
Step 3: Tap on the number you want to block
Step 4: Tap on the Menu button
Step 5: Tap on Block Numbers
Step 6: Confirm that you want to block the selected phone number and whether or not you want to report that number as spam.
If you are having trouble finding the “Block Number” setting, complete a Google search for your phone type and the phrase “How to Block a Number”. For example, if you have an HTC Desire Android phone, search for “HTC desire how to block a number” and follow those instructions.

Step 2: Tap on Recents
Step 3: Tap on the i icon next to the number you want to block

Step 2: Tap on the Settings Menu
Step 3: Select Phone or Calling settings

Download a SPAM prevention application
Even before an unwanted caller contacts you, you can avoid SPAM by downloading an application that filters out known scam numbers. Apps like Hiya, for Android and iOS (iPhone) and TrueCaller (iOS only), are rated highly.
Please note: We do not own these applications nor participate in their development, so please make sure to read the application’s description and terms, to see if it will work for your device.
Contact FreedomPop Support to change your number
Finally, if the problem continues, consider changing your phone number. This may not remove SPAM calls completely, but can be an option if you are receiving an excessive amount of unwanted calls.
