# Using your phone as a wifi hotspot / tethering

## **This information applies to Premium SIMs**

**What is tethering?**

Tethering -- using your phone as a wifi hotspot -- is a supported feature, however not all phone models support phone hotspot/tethering. Check your phone manufacturer's user guide to see if your device supports tethering. 

 

#### **To enable tethering/wifi hotspot on iPhone devices:**

Open up your phone's Settings application and tap on personal hotspot. Then, toggle the hotspot setting to the on position. Tap on Wi-Fi Password to manage the WiFi hotspot's network name and password. 

 

#### **To enable tethering/wifi hotspot on an Android Pixel or Nexus phone:**

Open up your phone's settings and tap on More. Then tap on Tethering & Portable Hotspot. Finally, tap Setup WiFi Hotspot. You can view and edit the WiFi hotspot's network name and password. 

 

#### **To enable tethering/wifi hotspot on other Android devices:**

Open up your phone's Settings application and tap on Mobile Hotspot and Tethering. Then, tap on Mobile Hotspot. You can edit the WiFi hotspot's network name and password. 

 

#### **Is tethering available with your Legacy Sims?**

At this time tethering is no longer available.
